 St. Joseph Health System is proud to announce Hugo Davila, M.D. is the newest member of our caring team of medical professionals. Dr. Davila provides enhanced urology services at the new St. Joseph Urology Center located in East Tawas.
Dr. Davila is originally from Caracas, Venezuela where he completed medical school. He performed clinical research in urothelial carcinoma of the upper urinary tract, erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease for the University of Cornell and University of California at Los Angeles. This research resulted in peer review publications, urological meeting presentations and research grant for the National Institute of Health and Pfizer Inc. He has participated in the international meeting about Peyronie’s disease and erectile dysfunction.
Dr. Davila completed his residency in Urology at The University of South Florida (USF) in 2010. During his last year he served as chief resident and during his training he performed laparoscopic surgery, robotic surgeries, endourology (stone surgery), percutaneous procedures, anti-incontinence surgeries and minimally invasive techniques for prostate ablation (holmium and green light laser) among other reconstructive surgeries. He is a member of the American Urological Association, The sexual Medicine Society of North America and The Society of Endourology.
During his free time Dr. Davila enjoys soccer, music and traveling with his wife and two children.
St. Joseph Urology Center provides adult care for male and female patients with bladder control problems, urinary incontinence, benign/malignant pathologies of the prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, erectile dysfunction and penile curvature among other urinary and genital conditions. Diverse technologies and techniques will be available for the diagnosis and treatment of urology conditions including: Urodynamic, Endourology, Laser Surgery, Laparoscopic and Percutaneous Surgery.
