Experts will help patients and families learn about cancer, treatment options and their ramifications, recovery, and more
Hospice
Compassionate staff and volunteers work with patient families in their homes when the end of life is imminent. The goal is patient comfort and family support
Library Services
The St. Mary's of Michigan library can provide technical and practical information from a large array of print and online resources
Nutritional Counseling
Dieticians and other experts can assist patients with ideas for meal selection, during and following treatment, and provide consultation on nutritional supplements, if appropriate
Pastoral Care
Chaplains and others provide spiritual and emotional support, comfort, and guidance to patients and families
Social Work
Experts can assist patients and families with insurance, financial, and home care issues. They are knowledgeable about government and community-based agencies and can make referrals

Seton Cancer Institute is affiliated with the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium Community Clinical Oncology Program - one of only 50 community-based research programs supported by the National Cancer Institute.
As a Seton Cancer patient, you are invited to participate in investigational cancer studies designed to determine ways to best prevent, detect, diagnose, and treat cancer.
Called "clinical trials," these studies are important because they help doctors learn how to help cancer patients live longer and more comfortably. As a participant, you or your loved one will have access to promising new treatments that may not be available anywhere else. You will also receive close attention from doctors and researchers - perhaps even more than a patient undergoing standard treatment.
