Parish nurses serve as health educators within their churches and our communities. We counsel on personal health issues, refer to, and connect community resources with individuals and churches. Spiritual and end of life support are also given. We also participate in the health outreach programs with the St. Joseph Health System. Networking with other parish nurses allows us to support each other in our ministries, gain knowledge and problem solve together.

Parish nurses meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 12:30pm, classroom C in the cafeteria. If you are a nurse come and join us to see what we are all about! This is a program where you can spend as little or as much time as you have available working within your church and the community. In addition to the parish nurse program, we have a group called the Health Ministry Partners which is made up of clergy and the parish nurses who meet 3 times a year to discuss current topics of interest as they pertain to our church member's health and well-being. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings.
